It’s midnight and of course I’m dreaming again. Not necessarily the kind I’d like to be doing right now in my eco bamboo white sheets! No, this time it’s all about Bali. Amongst some of the most beautiful beaches and hotels in the world, the Alila Villas Soori, in Bali – is one of my new favourites. I have been doing some research lately on the world’s most beautiful eco-hotels, and this is definitely one of my top picks. Alila Villas Soori is so beautiful, I can’t sleep and had to write about it right…now.
Imagine being in your beautiful suite, and on one side of the view is the ocean, complete with volcanic sand and water that is so clear it looks photoshopped. Then you talk a short walk and venture into the UNESCO world heritage protected rice fields which are just outside the hotel area,…then of course, volcanos and unbelievably beautiful landscape.
This is truly a five star holistic escape and place to find peace of mind. Don’t get me wrong, I love the city – the skyscrapers, the vibe, the energy – but everybody needs a little connecting back to nature sometimes. After all, we are all organic machines. To make matters more appealing, the Alila Villas Soori is completely eco-friendly, as it was constructed and managed in accordance with EarthCheck international environmental standards. Sensitive site planning, use of local building materials and native landscaping were a priority when designing the hotel. (Designed by internationally renowned Singapore-based SCDA Architects)
I have to save the rest for a full hotel review… and looks like this destination may be a contender for the upcoming issue of KA MAGAZINE “The Holistic Issue”. A perfect fit.
