I have been a fan of the May Lindstrom brand ever since the products were introduced to me about a year ago by the team at HUSK. The beautiful black and white townhouse on Scollard Street in Yorkville had just opened its doors, and the May Lindstrom collection was (and still is) definitely one of HUSK’s most cherished collections. Last Thursday night, I was invited on behalf of KA Magazine for a private meet and greet with founder and creator May Lindstrom herself, to discover more about her two year journey.

To give a little background on the brand – the essence behind the May Linstrom line, is all about inspiring women and men to create positive and uplifting self-love skincare routines with the collection of all-natural decadent products.  It is about bringing a true luxury to skincare – one of pure nutrient-rich ingredients and completely transparent and ethical creation practices from beginning to end. All of the May Lindstrom products are created by hand – by people, for people.

The luxurious natural brand consists of 7 products : The Honey Mud (cleansing silk), The Clean Dir (cleansing clay), The Problem Solver (correcting mask), The Youth Dew (hydrating facial serum), The Blue Cocoon (beauty balm), The Good Stuff (Radiance Oil) and lastly, their newest addition – The Jasmine Garden (Botanical Mist). I also love the fact that May Lindstrom offers their masque treatment bowl and facial brush, which brings the luxe into using their products to a whole new level.

Back to last Thursday’s event – it was a definite pleasure to see such radiant patrons of natural beauty gather in such a wonderful space – clearly showing that the wellness movement is truly growing in Toronto – and fast. We did have a chat with May and were wonderfully touched by her sincerity, warmth and complete dedication to her clients and her craft.  She is a true testament to “doing this right”, as we learned that the May Lindstrom skincare collection, was only officially launched 2 years ago – and has grown organically since the very first day. You see, the story is that the day after May gave birth to her daughter, she shipped her very first products to a customer. Her daughter just turned two this past July, and now May Lindstrom can be found at over 75 Stockists around the world. This is impressive. Especially after learning that May had been producing each product by hand (herself only) from day one, up until February of last year, when she hired a passionate (and still small) team to support the rapid growth of the brand.

Although May Lindstrom is clearly showing no signs of slowing down, she has let us know that the brand will always remain true to its core : Highest Quality Natural Ingredients, Created with Love and Produced by Hand.
